| GoldBod Backs Shatta Wale's ShattaFest UK Push To Promote Made-in-Ghana Jewellery |
Dancehall icon Shatta Wale, alongside rapper Medikal, has paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) to propose a partnership promoting locally made gold jewellery — with the collaboration set to extend all the way to the highly anticipated ShattaFest UK.
The meeting was held with GoldBod's Chief Executive Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, who welcomed the proposal and pledged the Board's support. Gyamfi described Shatta Wale as a global ambassador whose reach could help project Ghanaian gold and jewellery craftsmanship to international audiences.
According to Shatta Wale, the goal is to use music, public appearances, and international platforms — including ShattaFest UK — to showcase authentic Ghanaian-made jewellery to the world. Medikal echoed the sentiment, noting that Ghana's music industry can serve as a powerful marketing tool for locally produced gold and jewellery brands.
The partnership forms part of GoldBod's wider strategy to promote Made-in-Ghana products and boost the country's gold value-addition agenda, using influential entertainment figures to drive visibility both locally and abroad.
